Welcome to my website dedicated to bridging the worlds of electrical engineering and coding! My name is Guillaume [Respell: Gee-yom] Verez, and I'm a passionate French PhD in electrical engineering, self-trained in computer science. Through this platform, I aim to share my knowledge and insights into solving complex problems using programming and data analysis techniques, as well as my expertise in designing state-of-the-art electric motors and motorised systems.
In my spare time, and outside of my professional responsibilities, I have created a complete finite element software to design electric motors. I've explored geometry parametrisation, meshing, magnetostatics, mechanics, thermal analysis, vibro-acoustics, and motor post-processing. I've done everything from scratch in Python using only NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib. I then translated everything into a Swift/SwiftUI app for iOS/iPadOS/macOS. Later on, I upgraded it with faster already-existing C and C++ libraries to obtain a state-of-the-art tool aimed at motor design.
